About Us
What is YPO?
YPO is the global leadership community of more than 29,000 chief executives in 130 countries who are driven by the belief that the world needs better leaders. Each of YPO's members has achieved significant leadership success at a young age. Combined, they lead businesses and organizations contributing USD 9 trillion in annual revenue. YPO members become better leaders and better people through peer learning and exceptional experiences in an inclusive community of open sharing and trust.
New Jersey Chapter History
For over 65 years, our member-run New Jersey Chapter prides itself on the diversity of its Education Program, which provides a rich blend of professional and social offerings for our members, spouses and children. Our Chapter events range from business meetings to intimate member dinners and family weekends or other family activities of just simple fun.
Our membership includes leaders of multi-generational family businesses, entrepreneurs and hired guns, both from public and private companies, including major international companies with New Jersey headquarters or operations. Chapter members and spouses enjoy membership in one of our many Forums.
YPO Membership
There are two types of Members within the Chapter, YPO and YPO Gold. YPO members are Members of the Chapter under the age of 50. Other than transfer members, all new members must be approved and join the Chapter prior to their 45th Birthday. Additional criteria includes:
- Roll: Title of CEO, President, Managing Director, Managing Partner, or Chairman of the Board of qualifying company
- Volume: Gross annual sales of US $13M (US $9M for agency-type); or US $260M assets for financial institution; or US $15M enterprise value
- Payroll: 50 full-time employees or > US $2M employee compensation (excluding that of applicant) and a minimum of 15 employees

Every CEO needs somewhere to turn for the insight and perspective only trusted peers can provide. In YPO, the supreme sounding board is forum. Around the world in 3,800 forums, meet in an atmosphere of confidentiality, respect and trust. Most members say forum is their most valued asset, because the maxim holds true: it can be lonely at the top, but it doesn’t have to be.
